Silencio
David Lynch's gold-leafed members-only basement at 142 Rue Montmartre — the director's first and only interior-design commission, opened 2011 with a cinema, a concert hall, a smoking lounge, a library, and Lynch's signature dim-amber lighting throughout. After-hours opens to the public Thursday through Saturday.

The 2nd arrondissement's pioneer electronic temple — open since 1988 under the Grand Rex cinema, with Laurent Garnier's residency credited as the bedrock of French electronic music. A 2023 renovation by Matière Noire added a multi-diffusion sound system and a modular metal DJ booth against the original raw concrete walls.
